So I guess these past two weeks show that CLE is a serious contender. I don't think they should empty their farm system the way TOR did last year but I think they should add one quality outfielder, a catcher who's better than Yan Gomes, and a LHP RP.

Cleveland Indians acquire
Stephen Vogt
Josh Reddick

Oakland Athletics acquire
Bradley Zimmer
Bobby Bradley
Brady Aiken
Mike Clevinger
Rob Kaminsky.

What is the point of acquiring Stephen Vogt if you're the Indians? I may be missing something as I don't know much about the AL, but I'm pretty sure Vogt is a catcher/ first baseman. The Indians have Tan Homes behind the dish and have Carlos Santana and Mike Napoli for first an DH. They also have Uribe so Santana can't move to third.

They actually have Yan Gomes and Raberto Perez and Chris Ginemez behind the plate. I can see them going after Reddick but I also don't see them giving up that much for him. Maybe a young pitching prospect but none of the Indians untouchable prospects. And they won't trade them for Bruce either but Bruce would cost more too.

If the Tribe trades their top prospects they are going to have to acquire a player under team control for multiple seasons. Much like the Jimenez trade. I highly doubt they trade Bradley and Kaminsky especially for a 4th catcher and a guy like Reddick who is a half season rental.
