Mets Offseason

I think the Mets offseason will be something as followed.

Tender Qualifying offers to Walker and Cespedes (Hes going to opt out and get a deal far larger than the Mets will consider) and let them both walk for the picks.

CF) Carlos Gomez- 1 year $10 million.

Gomez has the ability to play CF which is what the Mets need. A 1 year deal gives the Mets the ability to let him play out the contract and hopefully rebound which they can extend a QO or re-sign.

Trade

NYM- Todd Frazier
CWS- Brandon Nimmo, Dominic Smith, Thomas Szapucki

Frazier gives the Mets a RH power bat that they desperately need. I personally think Wright is going to retire. This will free the Mets of $20 million, allowing them to pursue Frazier.


NYM- Ryan O'Hearn, 1B and Scott Blewett, SP
KC- Curtis Granderson (+ 5 million)

Granderson gives KC a vet to play RF and only has 1 year left. O'hearn replaces what the Mets lost in Smith and Blewett gives the Mets a young pitcher.

The Mets are in a tough position. Even with the great rotation, I think they should rebuild because everything else is mediocre and the rotation is controlled for so long they have a year or two to do it.
