The Tigers want to get younger and compete now and in the future so this is a possible Offseason Plan for the team:

Trades:

DET Gets:

Jackie Bradley Jr.
Williams Jerez

BOS Gets:

Victor Martinez
Anthony Gose
Spencer Turnbull

Boston gets a still productive DH in Martinez to replace Ortiz short-term while giving up Bradley who they have the means to replace. Bradley gives Detroit a young controllable outfielder for either right or center and a left handed bat. Boston also gets Gose who can battle for an outfield spot and Turnbull as a pitching prospect. Detroit also adds Jerez who is young and can battle for a bullpen spot.

DET Gets:

Taijuan Walker
Edwin Diaz

SEA Gets:

J. D. Martinez
Mark Lowe
Buck Farmer

Seattle gets JD who is a huge addition for them in RF with a great bat and decent glove, plus Lowe who's had success in Seattle and a young pitcher in Farmer. Detroit gets a good young starter in Walker and a future/ present bullpen cornerstone in Diaz.

DET Gets:

Carlos Perez
Keynan Middleton
David Fletcher

LAA Get:

Justin Wilson
Mike Pelfrey

Detroit gets a good young backup catcher in Perez, and two decent prospects. LA gets a good reliever and Pelfrey for a rotation spot battle.

Re-signings:

Pick up Maybin's option
Pick up K-Rod's option
Let Salty walk
Let Aybar walk

Free Agency:

Sign Brett Cecil (2 yrs/ $4.5M AAV)

Decent lefty reliever to replace Wilson.

Lineup:

2B - Kinsler
CF - Maybin
1B - Cabrera
3B - Castellanos
LF - Upton
DH - Moya
RF - Bradley Jr.
C - McCann
SS - Iglesias

Bench:

C - Perez
OF - Collins
UT - Romine
IF - Machado

Rotation:

Verlander
Zimmermann
Fulmer
Walker
Norris

Bullpen:

CL: Rodriguez
SU: Diaz
SU: Cecil
MR: Rondon
MR: Wilson
MR/ LR: Sanchez
LR: Greene

*Anibal Sanchez is moved to the bullpen in a middle relief role which could actually be a good move for his skill set*

Coaching Staff:

Hire Kirk Gibson as hitting coach.

Why on earth would the Red Sox do this trade. Plus why would the Tigers trade away Martinez (J. D) they just signed him to an extenchen. A lineup of
1. Kinsler 2nd
2. Mayben CF
3. Cabrera 1st
4. Martinez (J. D) RF
5. Upton LF
6. Moya/ Martinez DH
7. Castillanos 3rd
8. McCann C
9. Igalsius SS

Bench:
1. Collins/ Moya OF
2. Romine UTL
3. Jones INF
4. FA/ Trade C

Rotation:
1. Verlander
2. Zimmerman
3. Fulmer
4. Norris
5. Trade SP

Bullpen:
1. Greene
2. FA/ Trade RP
3. Rendon
4. Lowe
5. Wilson (A)
6. Wilson (J)
7. Rodriguez

The Tigers 3 needs this offseason: a back up catcher, a starting pitcher, and 1 or 2 relievers. They have expendable pieces in Anibal Sanchez and Victor Martinez who both are old but have value left. Victor could bring back a decent young (ish) starter. And Sanchez value at this point could help them bring in a decent young backup catcher. I like the idea of being in Cecile so he could be in the bullpen and if they don't want to have Rendon in the pen they could go out and trade for anther reliever or sign another one.

Sox did not want to include Jackie Bradley Jr in a Chris Sale trade why would they trade him for nothing.
