Matt Shoemaker for Devers/ Kopech/ Swihart

Why for LAA? They need to do a mini rebuild and short to contend in 2018/ 2019. This helps fill some of the many holes they have over the long run.

Why for BOS? It might seem like an overpay at first glance but when you look at Shoemaker's peripherals which are very similar to the likes of Carlos Martinez, Aaron Sanchez, Julio Teheran, and Jose Quintana. Plus he has 4 years of team control left.

I'm just saying the people you are calling bums are in organizations for one of the best teams in the world, so obviously they're not that bad. Meanwhile I'm willing to bet everything I have that you aren't apart of an organization so who's the real bum?

He's one of the best in the world yet he's still a bum, but you're not because you have 2 Masters okay? So 2 Masters trumps being one of the best in the world? Makes no sense. Also shoemaker has had 2 good years out of 3, his FIP this past season was 3.55, that's good but it's even better on a horrible team. IMO that's either 2 or 3 depending on the rotation.
