I'm not sure what your intention is here. An Angels rebuild or a Rockies rebuild, because this accomplishes neither.

Why doesn't it make sense? I'm interested in your opinion.
My angle is, the Rockies could use a power hitting 1B. Calhoun is a great player who is under control for 3 more years.

The Angels get their 2B. They can extend CarGo and they can definitely use his left handed bat in the middle of that lineup. With Cron gone, you can plug Marte at 1B and keep his bat in the lineup.

That's a pretty balanced lineup imo
Rockies get younger, less expensive. Maybe they can keep McMahon or Chatwood in this deal.
