Matt Shoemaker/ Cam Bedrosian for Pablo Sandoval / Yoan Moncada

Why for LAA? They get the #1 prospect in all of baseball to pair with Trout for years to come and fill their 2B hole.

Why for BOS? They get a solid low cost starter controlled for 4 more years, and high end reliever for 5 more years of team control and they get rid of Panda'S contract. Losing Moncada would hurt but they are very high on Devers to take over 3B, Pedroia is signed long term at 2B and their OF is set.

It makes some sense, but if Boston won't trade Moncada for Chris Sale, there is no way they'd trade him for Bedrosian and Shoemaker.

For goodness sakes, be realistic. Dombroski hangs up the phone laughing from hearing this ridiculous proposal. Bedrosian doesn't yet have a track record and Shoemaker is up and down. Moncada is one of the top prospects in all of baseball, nothing about this trade says Moncada should be a part of it. Shoemaker for Sandoval would make more sense but still wouldn't be good.

You do realize Shoemaker had a 3.3 WAR last year (24th amongst all MLB pitchers. he's projected to be above 3 again next year. With 4 arbitration elligible years left (let's say about $30 million total) and 1 WAR = $8 million in surplus value. Shoemaker should have about $66 million surplus value before he reaches free agency.

Sandoval on the other hand has been below replacement level each of the last 2 seasons with the Red Sox. Fangraphs has a 1 WAR projection for Sandoval for 2017. With $58 million due to Sandoval over the next 3 years including his buyout, he has about $34 million in negative value.

So tell me how that adds up?

Yoan Moncoda is going to be one the next best players in the league, Shoemaker is a 3rd starter at best and Bedrosian is not bad but no way.

Okay this needs to be said by an Angels fan, CAM IS NOT THAT VALUABLE OF A PIECE! HE IS NO WAY ABLE TO GET THE NUMBER 1 PROSPECT IN THE GAME OR EVEN THE 100th PROSPECT! He had like 2 good months and then injured, he isn't on the level of someone like Miller, Chapman, or Britton who could command a good return. He is young though so instead of trading him now, let the guy develop with the team and who knows maybe he could reach that potential, but as of now, no team in baseball is dumb enough to give their best prospect for a pitcher who had two good months!

Shoemaker should be working in a shoe factory. Dude is the No. 5 SP on a bad team that needs pitching.

Angels fans be making trades like Bedrosian is the greatest reliever of all time.

Its beyond ridiculous, if you guys value him so highly why trade? he's apparently the greatest thing since Mo.

Red Soxs guy, Shoemakers numbers were horrific before he was sent down, once he was up again, he was un hittable, he even pitched better than your boy David Price. With the way he pitched after his call up, he's way better than a number 5, if he can continue that into next season, the Angels will have a great arm to turn to.

Then keep the guy. You think he's great, keep him. I think Shoe is crap, and don't want him.

I'm not saying trade him, I'm just pointing out the fact he is much better than a number 5 starter as u stated earlier, this trade is garbage.
