With the Tigers set to get cheaper but still competitive while gaining pieces for the future and 3 low cost players but with potential

DET - OAK

TIGERS GETS:
RP Sean Doolittle
'17 Competitive Balence Round A pick (3)

A's GETS:
SP Matt Boyd
RP Shane Greene
RP Mark Lowe
OF Michael Gerber (8)

In this trade.

Tigers add a late into inning bullpen arm that can replace a potential departure of either K-rod or Justin Wilson. Doolittle is a great command picher. Also they get a draft pick that can be traded and useful to add to one of the worse farm systems in baseball.

Athletics add a young controllable SP in Boyd who can be put in the rotation in OAK since in DET he would be giving a darker path to starting (verlander, zimmermann, fulmer, norris, pelfrey and sanchez) but in OAK its more clearer. They also add Greene who also can start when needed but is effective in the bullpen and can be like a Wade Davis as a converted SP to SU. Also getting Lowe who would replace Doolittle in the bullpen and can rebound to get value back at the deadline. Gerber can be a 4th OF next year.

DET - HOU - STL

TIGERS GETS:
(HOU)
1B Jonathan Singleton
(STL)
SP Michael Wacha
2B Kolton Wong
'17 Competitive Balence Pick Round B (8)

ASTROS GETS:
(STL)
RP Zach Duke
RP Corey Littrell (20)
(DET)
SP Tyler Alexander (7)
OF Tyler Collins

CARDINALS GETS:
(DET)
C Arivcent Perez (27)
OF JD Martinez
(HOU)
RP James Hoyt (14)
IF Jonathan Arauz (12)

In this trade.

Tigers add 2 cheap contracts that's set for the future in wong and singleton. Wong can replace a potential replacement for Kinsler and Singleton is not of the Astros 40 man roster but can still hit homeruns but needa to hit for average. Wacha is controllable for 3 years. They also add another competitive balence pick but in the round b section. While giving up a backup OF (collins), a young SP who is behind other prospects at the same position. Perez can help in the near future. JD can help now in a not so decent OF even with Fowler involved.

The astros add pieces for a player nor on their 40 man roster (singleton) . They add 3 toung pieces that can provide for the astros. They add Duke who can help but may not get as much appearences with the cardinals in a deap bullpen.

The cardinals add 3 young prospects but add a much needed OF bat in JD. They would have Perez as a potential future replacement for molina. Hoyt can be a useful bullpen arm.

The 3 main playera the tigers add in these trades are doolittle, singleton and wong who are under contract to at least 4 more years.

All numbers in millions of course

Wong =
2.50 - 4.00 - 6.50 - 10.25 - 12.50 (*1)

Doolittle =
2.63 - 4.38 - 6.00 - 6.50

These contracts are for 2017 - 2021.

*1) 12.50 team option with 1.00 buyout

Values aren't crazy. It's just a littlehard when you start adding picks.
