That's a garbage offer. Cody Martin is awful. Fry and Whalen are both in the 15-30 range of the the system. Basically just superfluous junk for a mid rotation starter.

In what world are the Mariners giving up their best healthy hitting prospect for an average 4 starter. Think about that for a second it's absolutely asinine to think they would ever do that. Drew smyly is not that valuable. He is worth more than this ridiculous trade offer suggested we are in agreement there but to think they'd give up one of their best prospects because they have a "hole" in their rotation. Seattle did that once when they gave away Adam jones. Absolutely will not do it again.

The deal that I have found to be a good compromise is Gohara, Heredia and Zych/ Altavilla for Smyly.

Yes bossman that is a much more realistic offer. The Mariners have been linked to smyly but that doesn't mean that they are desperate for him. As a Mariners fan I wouldn't necessarily want them to make this trade but it is a realistic offer I could see them making for smyly and if they make the trade it will look like yours.

If Seattle wanted a back of the rotation starter, there are still 10-15 left on the market.

No need to make a significant move for Drew Smyly.

I'm in agreement. He's not worth a significant piece. Definately not worth the southern league MVP and another kicker.
