That seems like a fair package for quintana, but I do not see the pirates giving that much up. I would guess that if the pirates were willing to give that up, quintana would be a bucco by now.

That is the problem with trading for star players. The price tag might be fair but is it worth giving up that much for one guy and a throw in? In my opinion no. The Red Sox got a good deal for Sale since they were able to avoid giving up a lot. I know they gave up Moncada but we still have Deverse in the minors and will do just fine in a few years. And Kopech was ok but nothing special and they traded from their outfield prospect depth since they would have no place to play with the Red Sox OF situation now. So they were able to get a good deal. But the Pirates don't have as good as a farm system as the Red Sox so it is harder for them to make trades like that.
