Giants send Johnny Cueto to the Yankess for OF Blake Rutherford, LHP Justus Sheffield, and LHP James Reeves.

Like you, I think Cueto will be dealt. I am not sure the Yanks would do this, as they seem committed to their youth rebuild. But it's plausible, for sure.

The Yankees would be fools to give up that much for a half year of Cueto, for the reason LBF gave.

Cuteo can also opt out, essentially making him a rental. If SF continues to struggle he may even be a yankee via FA next year.
