Yes true, but they are actually pretty good this year. I say they snag a wildcard anyway.

From what I read Detroit wanted Happ and Baez for Farmer, so imagine what the Rays would ask for Archer while on the chase? Also Rays are closer (3.5) to first place in the east and have a WC spot than the Cubs are to Brewers (5.5 games )
