That's a big haul for a mediocre pitcher.

Make me think maybe Mets should trade deGrom to Houston (obviously they'd need to get a better haul than Quintanilla) .

Dan, you clearly don't watch much baseball other than whoever you root for. Quintana is good pitcher, he has been on some very bad White Sox teams and has been a good pitcher.

It'll be interesting to see how and what the Cubs do moving forward, beyond 2017.

They have traded away a large glut of the organizational depth they have, and now have to bank that all these called up players are the real deal. (I think they will see some total busts) .

Obviously, adding controllable pitching is a smart move considering they lose Arrieta and Lackey. But the cost of 4 years of Arrieta this offseason is cheaper than Quintana's contract w/ o their top 2 prospects (in positions they don't have much depth) .
