Yanks-Cubs

Yankees receive Ian Happ, Victor Caratini and Oscar De La Cruz

Cubs receive Didi Gregorius, Brett Gardner and CC Sabathia

- I don't think the Yankees are focused on winning this year, so why not add more youth? Happ is a stud and can immediately start at 2B while moving Castro over to SS. Caratini and Cruz are both youngsters at postions of need for Yanks.

- Cubs get 3 starters to help make push for another WS. Didi slides in to short as a big upgrade over the struggling Russell. Gardner becomes your new leadoff man and every day LF. CC is having a solid year and can contribute in the back end of the rotation for the rest of the season. Thoughts?

FYI I'm a Yankees fan as well

IF your a Yankees fan, you're not a good one, this is terrible for them. Why trade Gregorius? He is still young and controllable. Gardner brings the value of the trade down a bit. Sabathia is hit or miss and is better off being the AL.

Why trade Gregorius? Because Gleyber Torres > Didi.

Also, we knew very well you're a Yankees fan. No Cubs fan would consider this.

you do realize they will move him, Torres to 3rd base, in fact that's what they have been talking about doing all season.

No way do the Cubs do this. Happ is a top prospect who has already proven he can play at the top level and Caratini has a lot of upside and was the reason why they were able to let Montero go. Plus the Cubs don't need Didi, they have Russell who is a fine option at SS and they have no need for an aging Gardner, and C. C is having an ok year but he is old. The Cubs would say no to the Yankees right away.

Cmessier really bring the cubs in discussions of trades.

Why would the Cubs need another INF?
