Rumour has it the Yankees are now looking into Wilson and the Tigers are looking for a Chapman type return. Obviously they won't get quite that much but I think this return is a reasonable one from the Yanks for a dominant lefty reliever. The Tigers get three prospect bats and a young reliever, building for their future.

That is wishful thinking by the Tigers, they will get a good return for Wilson, but not what Chapman brought to the Yankees. Perhaps the if the Yankees want him back offer Green and Cessa back to the Tigers.

Yanks wouldn't trade Mateo for Wilson straight up. not even close. Plus, the Yankees now have 5 dominant bullpen arms, they are not adding another. Try again.

Yankees aren't trading Adams.
Yankees aren't trading Mateo.

Then the Yankees won't add a single significant upgrade.

Out of those 4, the one player I see them trading is Mateo, he is blocked by Gregorious, Castro, Andujar, and Torres. If you want to count that he being transitioned into an outfielder he is Blocked by Frazier, Judge, Fowler, Hicks, Gardner.
