Yanks get Sonny Gray
A's get Mateo, Fowler and Kapreilian.

Hey Stat-you said the Yanks would have to give up 2 of Torres, Frazier, Adams, Florial and Sheffield. You couldn't have been more wrong. They didn't even give up 1. It's OK-say it-"I was Wrong" It's not that hard.

Drake-you said that a package headlined by Mateo or Sheffield would be easily outbid by other teams. WRONG! You can say it-"I was wrong" Also, you made fun of me for saying that Theo Epstein was "Desperate. " In Ken Rosenthal's July 29th post-he qoutes-"The parallels are not precise — Quintana, 28, is nearly a year older than Gray and under control for three-plus seasons as opposed to two-plus.

The Cubs also were more desperate for a controllable starter, lacking the young major-league ready pitching talent the Yankees can use to fill rotation openings next season. " He agrees with me.

So, in conclusion I was proven right and stat and drake-you were wrong. Are you going to be man enough to admit it? YOU WERE WRONG!

I was wrong about the Frazier/ Torres comment. I'll admit it.

But you realize Mateo, Fowler, Kaprelian is a better return than your suggestion of Mateo + Florial, right? Many, many scouts think the A's got a fantastic return. I thought there was a bigger market for Gray.

You seem like the guy who loses every game, and the one time you win, you pretend you're better than everyone.

Also, for what it's worth, Rosenthal (who "agrees" with you) along with many others believed it was necessary for Frazier or Torres to be included. Many were surprised by the return.

The market for Gray was weaker than believed. Oakland still got a great return considering.

Hey Mitch you really don't need to brag about this, it makes you look bad and like a sore winner.

Lol, the second I saw this trade go through I knew this post was coming.

Definitely was wrong. Cashman did really well. Package wasn't as bad as most are making it out to be but really thought they'd get a lot more.

I took a lot of abuse from you two guys. I usually don't respond to many of the ridiculous posts. But you two went above and beyond. No hard feelings, Drake- gained respect for you. But-stat-3 more posts and still nasty. "Lost every game". Please provide me with anything that shows I lost every time. Ridiculous. Batman! -appreciate your opinions (especially when you agreed with me. ) But just last week- I posted to stat-wait till next week and we'll see who's right? He responded with nasty attack that stated I was stupid and I didn't know what I was talking about. He deserved my post.

I apologize if you think we are going too far. I need to work on my aggressiveness, so I sincerely apologize.

Please also consider, you've now posted TWO posts where you intentionally bring up others to make fun of them. Not comments, but posts.

I'll back off, but you need to realize, when you bring people up in posts, they have every right to fire back.

I was wrong on the trade. You were wrong in gloating and going on the offense. Let's all move on.

Great. Happy to hear it. Will look forward to debating future trades as long it doesn't get nasty. BTW-I totally agree with your posts on Mets and Red Sox.

Guys, we are all wrong most of the time on this site.

I'll add this; we cannot predict what many MLB execs are doing because they often don't know themselves.

Everyone on this site is wrong almost all the time; the only time someone is not wrong is when they copy from an actual trade.

That, sadly, is truth.
