Right now Lagares, Conforto, Cespedes and Nimmo are the Mets outfield. All of them have injury history, and Conforto is hurt as we speak. Lagares is also the only one who's a plus defender in CF. They'd have to make a move for an OF (ideally a CF) before thinking about this kind of a move.

I guess I could see the Mets cashing in on Lagares and getting a cheap back-up outfielder (read: Jarrod Dyson) .
