Dogers should trade or cut Matt kemp. In mid season they should trade for Chris Archer.

In 2019 off-season sign harper, resign Kershaw

Grandal and Pederson would be close to enough for him. Ryu could be their fourth pitcher and Alvarez is a really good prospect. Maybe add another prospect and rays most likely make the deal.

I tried it on a trade machine and it was better for the rays than for the dodgers. FYI I was just trying to show what they might trade. they could do a different trade like grandal, Verdugo, Ryu and trever oaks.

A realistic trade for Chris Archer would be something like this:

-Alex Verdugo
-Walker Buehler
-Keibert Ruiz
-Rob Segedin

It's not going to include a rental catcher, a rental lefty, and just a few prospects. It's going to sting.

I know. I said that my exact trades probably won't happen but I was just giving the general idea. They can do many different trades. Dodgers won't want to give up Verdugo and buehler. How about this: verdugo, Alvarez, Kyle farmer, and ryu.

He'd be the #2 pitcher behind Clayton Kershaw. He'd be the #1 pitcher on almost every team in baseball right now.

And still no on the proposed idea. Without Buehler, the Dodgers probably have to pony up more lesser pieces.

You could do: Verdugo, Ruiz, Mitch White, and Dustin May.

The moral of the story: if Archer could be had for that cheap, he wouldn't be on the Rays anymore.

It's going to cost multiple arms and legs to acquire Archer, whose the 12th best SP, per WAR, over the past 4 seasons. You can't get him for as cheap as you want.

The Rays only do deals with smart people who remember which guys are still on their team.
