As a Giants fan, I like both of those. Prefer the Braves trade, but there's not a snowball's chance in hell the Braves accept that.

Yah, the Braves trade is a little heavy, and it would also be tough to pry Anderson and Whitley away from their respective teams. However, Smith is much better than Strickland, and the Astros are in more of a win now mode than the Braves, so I think that trade is a little more realistic.

The Giants would take that Braves trade without one of Allard or Anderson, in my opinion.

Can you imagine a top 3 of Verlander, Bumgarner and Cole? Yeesh! And that's without considering bringing back Keuchel and Morton.

I'd bet my house that Bumgarner, if traded, returns to the Giants after one season somewhere else.

He would know as much as anyone that being traded and returning only helps the team in the long-run.

Suarez is signed to a 7 year deal for a very cheap 66 million. He is worth a ton.

Stat, I would have said the same thing about Lester back with the Sox, but we know how that worked out. There really is no predicting that kind of stuff.

From comments made by Bumgarner, it seems he doesn't even want to be traded. Rumor has it, his no-trade list includes the teams that would want him the most.

I can imagine that if he does agree to a trade, he'll work hard to return.
