Idk if this would work but here you go.

Reds-Tigers

Reds receive- Moya, Suarez, and Porcello

Tigers receive- Bruce, Hoover, and maybe Mike Leake

The Reds and Tigers do not match up well for a trade, even if the Reds decide to move Jay Bruce. All the scouting reports I have read on Moya list him as a below average player who, unless his approach changes, will have a hard time making it to the majors to stay

2.) 22 Nov 2014
First I have no idea what reports you are reading, but he has dominated at every level, and is stil growing into his body. MLB scouts have him listed as a potential All-Star if he continues on this pace. Second Detroit doesn't need another hitter who can't play defense. Like reading do you check out his WAR.

You tell other people to do research, you do rilize that Bruce is a gold glove caliber defender. But I agree with you on Moya.

Quotes about Moya from scouting reports:

"has impressive tools, but has had problems turning them into baseball skills."

"gets himself out way too often by chasing pitches out of the strike zone"

"repeatedly looks foolish against off speed stuff"

"looks rough in the outfield. He gets poor jumps, making fly balls and adventure."

"destined to be a DH, if/when he makes it to the majors"

The Reds are the best defensive teams in the majors for a reason. Moya struck out 179 times in the minors. Not a player the Reds could use.

^thats pretty much what it says on his page on the Tigers top 20 prospects. And just because he is number 6 on the Tigers top 20 prospects doesn't mean he is a good prospects. You go to remember every team has top 20 prospect list and overall many players could out rank him. Plus the Tigers farm is one of the weakest in the majors.

Moya is worth more then you think. He is very young has only been playing full time baseball for two years.Second the Reds defense is good, but check out Bruces War. Its not that he is not a good hitter he is, but his war on a defense that already struggles is not going to work. Yes he would be an upgrade over what they have, but is he better then Melky not for what detroit needs. Which is a number 2 hitter that can play defense.
