2 Possible Angels/Red Sox deals:

#1: CJ Wilson for Shane Victorino

Why for LAA? Salary relief, have pitching depth, get Victorino who could let Hamilton DH, also Victorino could be a high OBP guy in front of Trout.

Why for BOS? Wilson is a definite bounce back candidate, who the Red Sox would be getting for below market value when Victorino's salary is factored in. This also opens up playing time for Betts in RF.

#2: Jepsen or Rasmus/Salas for Cecchini

Why for LAA? They get a young controllable 3B to replace Freese either this year or next. They have a glut of RP too.

Why for BOS? They could use another power arm or two to solidify the bullpen and with Panda at 3B Cecchini is blocked for a while.

Angels have Trout, Hamilton, Calhoun, Joyce and Cron. They don't need Victorino.

^I could see them as a fit for Vic. None of those guys except Trout can really play center field, so he could have a place on that team I the Sox ate some salary. But they aren't trading for Wilson, regardless.

Victorino is 34 and his contract expires at the end of the year. there might be a market for him, but I'm sure that could develop more in June/July when there's a need for a final OF for a team's playoff push.

That being said, Boston probably wants to move Allen Craig over Victorino, as Victorino still has value for the Red Sox.
