Brewers need another SP so I can't see them trading for Yehlich and signing Cain without having a plan on getting another SP. Yu Darvish has to be in play or they can come knock on Detroit's door for Fulmer. They would have to give them three top prospects with a package of 4 or 5 total. Fulmer is a bulldog, cost certainty for 4 years and controlability for 5 or 6 years. They could also trade him in 3 years for top prospects back if this experiment doesn't work. Yankees love Fulmer so strike now while you have the chance.

I don't buy that they "NEED" another SP. Between Jimmy Nelson, Chase Anderson, and Zach Davies, they'd be just fine. Adding a frontline starter just gives them that much more of an edge.
As for Fulmer, it'd be a good time to trade for him. His recent injury lowers the return. Something like Domingo Santana, Brandon Woodruff, and Trent Clark would be great for Detroit.

Tigers aren't going to trade Fulmer unless it absolutely blows them away.

They won’t be trading Fulmer until his injury is well behind him.
There’s nothing wrong with that, either. But they won’t be “blown away†as it is now.
