Wainwright out for 9 months!
Cards trade prospects Tuivailala (rhp) and Wilson (of) for A's pitcher Scott Kazmir.
A's to cash in on Kazmir's good start to the season in his final year.
Parker & Griffin back in June, season looks to be 500 at best!
Cards get nearly a full season of a quality starter.

Why would the A's sell low on Kazmir? They won't get a major prospect back, but they can do better.

Billy Beane pulls a Rabbit out of the Hat again!
Zobrist & Escobar for Jaso, and prospects Robertson and Powell. Lol
1.) I have no idea whatsoever what Beane is doing.
2.) Upsetting The Angels, Astros and Mariners I reckon. They probably thought that the A's wernt going to seriously look to contend this year, think again!
3.) Beane could still use another SP, but the A's look much better after this trade.
4.) I think a Catcher is a priority, Vogt is great but Phegley is an unknown quantity.
You never know with Billy but I think a SP unlikely, he has enough (Kazmir, Gray, Graveman, Hhann, Chavez, Pommeranz, Bassett & Nolin) to start the season plus Jarrod and AJ to return.

2.) Saw that but both versions are being reported and neither confirmed
3.) I have to wonder what Billy Beane is smoking. He's lost Samardjiza and Lester and Donaldson for very little.

2.) If Shark & Kazmir follow Moss, Nakajima, Lowrie & Donaldson that's a $40m saving less $10m for Butler this year does Billy make a Run at a FA power bat with the money he's saved? Would love to hear your thoughts on this Guys. Ged
3.) Yeah, he's killing them. Made the playoffs each of the last two years, despite one of the lowest payrolls in baseball.

Dodgers reportedly interested in trading Dee Gordon, the A's have some back of the Rotation SP's Griffin (due back July), Pomeranz and a catcher who maybe surplus to requirements in Jaso. Would they be interested in Gordon? What or who would they want in return?

Wouldn't be surprised if the A's had a talks with Adam Rosales after the Rangers Non-Tendered him, not a fan myself but the A's liked his contribution and he doesn't make 2B any worse off than it is now! Ged
