1.) Yes, it is possible, but I don't know if Sabean is going to go after him any further, he might go for a LF now.
2.) Not to far off the 5, 110 Shields is looking for, and that might still get it done if interest in him stays mild.

It's certainly within the realm of possibilities. but it makes you wonder if the signing of Peavy conceded Shields and Scherzer. If I were SF, I might just wait til next year. But I wouldn't be shocked if they make that deal.

7.) I think the Yankees might sign Lester. They say they aren't interested and have gone so far as to not mention him in organizational meetings. But I don't buy it. I think they are lurking seeing what everyone is offering and swoop in at the last second with a big offer.

2.) Sorry, you must not understand that the Giants are trying to compete next season. I am a true Giants fan and I will post an actual offseason plan that will fit the Giants well.
3.) At the end of his current contract, Angel Pagan will be 35, no way he gets another four year deal on top of that.
4.) I see Belt signing for more than that probably like 24 million over 3 years.
5.) That's a a lot of money for a pitcher like Jake Peavy. Pretty sure that the Giants won't have to pay that much.

1.) Sorry but I doubt the giants would get there over the dodgers
the tigers should and I think the angels would over the a's which the a's always fall apart in the playoffs
2.) The Giants will not beat out the Dodgers for the division.
3.) I'm a Giants fan too, but I don't see this happening. I have Tigers over Nats in 5.
4.) Giants will win the wildcard and Beat the Dodgers in the NLDS but fall to the Nats in the NLCS and my WS pick is Tigers over Nats in 6

No way on earth you have 3 teams at 89+ in that division. Every NL division is going to be extremely tough. The likely hood of having 2 90 win teams from one is very, very slim.

1.) Still in the offseason my friend. to early to predict a season that is nowhere close to starting.
2.) As a fellow Giants fan, I can surely say that the current Giants roster will not win 92 games. If they add James Shields and a LF, which most likely will not happen because of their budget constraints that Sabean has been hinting at, then they will win 85-89 games and make the wild card.
3.) So who do the giants go for to feel that lf spot i don't see any good freeagents out there and brian doesn't want to spend any money

Dodgers have zero need for him. Uribe will hold that spot until Seager is ready.
The only reason I could see SF not go for him is conditioning. If they don't like the conditioning element, they won't offer him a 5-year deal. the Red Sox have the luxury of the DH.
2.) He stays in San Fran. The Giants brass has already stated that letting him go would be a huge public relations/marketing blunder. For this reason alone they pony up with a 5-yr $105M contract
3.) A few reasons why the Giants could shy away:
1. Pablo wants too many years. I don't think it's a matter of money, but rather, years. He's 28 and can play well despite his conditioning issues, but how's he going to do at age 34?
2. They have been burned on deals like this before. Lincecum and Scutaro are names that come to mind right away. Will Pablo be more like those two or more like Hunter Pence? You just can't know.
Reasons why the go for it:
1. Marketing. While I'm not a fan of putting marketing above baseball, there's no denying what Sandoval means to that franchise.
2. No options within the club. Joaquin Arias and Chris Dominguez are the best 3B options within the club.
3. The FA market for 3B is slim. Chase Headley and Hanley Ramirez are the best 3B options outside of Pablo. Ramirez isn't that great of an option both defensively and in terms of chemistry. And the Yankees seem to really want to re-sign Headley. He may not even be available.
There's serious pros and cons for both sides.
