If I'm the ChiSox I look to move Quintana this offseason while his value is as high as it will be.

Not at all an underpay. Glasnow is one of the best prospects in the game and is almost MLB ready. Keller is young and completely dominated last year. Newman is has pop and will be MLB ready likely next season. Look what the Red Sox gave up for sale. It was significantly less than everyone thought especially on this site.

They gave up Yoan Moncada, the #1 prospect in baseball for Chris Sale. Let's not pretend that the price was low.

Most scouts aren't that high on the Pirates' young guys. Pirates fans seem to think every one of their young guys is untouchable, or only tradeable for the best players.

I can't imagine this would even pique the White Sox' interest.

That trade is really really bad, Matz has yet to prove that he can stay healthy for a full season, Cutch is one of the best Ofs in the game with some control asking price will be higher than basically a Jurickson Profar pitcher and a couple of bums.

What do you guys think about the one game wild card format? Me being a pirates fan I would love to here some ideas on how the MLB can make it as fair as possible. Any thoughts?

How bout a best 2 out ot 3 series. The series would work its way up from best out of 3, then to 5, then to 7. It would give both teams a fair chnace and push team to stay in the race for the wildcard spot.

Best 2 out of 3 would be even worse for the Wild Card team.

The series goes all three games. they have to overnight a flight, play the next day with a worn-down roster, and pitch their #4 starter in game 1.

It would be a far greater disadvantage to do a wild card series for the WC team.
