Braves get: Puig
Dodgers get: Jay Bruce, mid level prospect from ATL.
Reds get: kevin Maitan.

This is awful. Its been said that the Braves aren't the 3rd team. Plus why would the rebuilding braves want Puig? Secondly the Reds aren't getting enough for Bruce and Maitan was just signed in international signing period and I don't think he can be traded just yet.

Yea not sure if they would trade Frazier either but that would still leave them Bradley Zimmer in the farm system. Plus they could pick up Bruce's option next year so it might help that they can keep him for another year.

Jay Bruce / Reds and the Indians / prospects. won't happen. The Indians announced Michael Brantley has restarted his on field baseball work (in addition to off field work, dry swings, etc) and will be creating a schedule that will see him return to the club. It's anticipated to be after the All Star break, making the acquisition of Bruce, unnecessary.

I think aquiring another OF/ bat is a must for Cleveland if they want to make a run. Yes, Brantley will be back somewhat soon but they also lost Byrd to suspension. And isn't 3b Chisenthol playing RF right now? Plus Indians have already discussed Bruce in trade so they are very interested in trading for him.

It's not a must. They are making a run. Byrd has been replaced with the return of Almonte. Chisenhall's defense in RF has been stunningly good. The discussions about Bruce were Jon Heyman and Bruce's agent. So, it still doesn't make sense. nor will it.

This simply won't happen. The Indians will be extremely hesitant to move Zimmer or Frazier and they just don't have the money to add Bruces contract and option for next year. There's about a 0% chance the Tribe moves one of their top two prospects for a player they can't control at a reasonable price for multiple seasons.

No Bregman will be the 3rd baseman of the future. And should be up in at least 2 years and then can trade Valbena for pitching or another position of need at that point.

Correa is better profiled at 3b than Bregman. And like you said Bregman will be up in 2 years. Guess what. Cozart has 2 years left on his contract and has a friendly contract. 3b position is weak right now in Houston, Cozart keeps the infield solid the next 2 years till Bregman is ready to come up. Especially makes more sense now that the Reds signed Rodriguez in the international signing period. Everybody wins really.

Reds don't have to be good next year or year after. Reds are trying to make there run in 2018. Reds would be getting a pitcher who can be a #1 pitcher and an outfielder who can play RF (after Jay Bruce gets traded) who would tear up GABP. As for the Tommy John surgery, a lot of pitchers come back stronger after surgery. Risk i'd be willing to take for a potential top of rotation pitcher.

No way KC can afford to re-sign Cueto. He's going to command over $25M on a 6-7 year deal.
If KC does that, they lose Gordon, they'll lose out on Cain in a year. re-signing Cueto would be the death of the Royals of today.

As a Reds fan I really want to see them clean house. Trade Cueto, Leake, Chapman, Bruce, Byrd all this year. Let Bailey come back next year n trade him at the all star break next year. Then trade Votto after next year. Reasoning. We're not going to win this year or anytime soon. Get as many talented prospects as possible for our future. Move Votto because I think he is regressing and with Mesoraco having surgery I don't think he's going to be able to squat behind the plate 130 games a year. Move Mesoraco to first and after 2 years I think the Reds top draft pick Stephenson the catcher will b ready to take over behind the plate. Frees up a ton of money and gets us in position to be really good for years to come.
