This is a joke, right? If not the Machado trade in probably the worst thing I've seen on this site. On the Darvish contract though, I think he'll get more but I could see it happening. The Machado thing is just unbelievably bad.

That Stanton deal was a salary dump. The Orioles aren't dumping Machado's contract. They like a 4-5 prospect package for him.

If you're referring to the return or lack there of for Stanton, that is has a completely different set of circumstances. Orioles have leverage unlike the Marlins. The Orioles are competent unlike the Marlins. Machado doesn't have an albatross contract or a no trade clause forcing the Orioles to take a lesser deal. It was publicly know that both sides didn't want anything to do with each other anymore so that along with a few hundred million dollars kept and Stanton himself knocking out the competition. They aren't comparable in the slightest.

The Stanton trade may be somewhat reasonable, but I think it would take even more to get both Stanton and Yelich.
As for Machado, there will be 30 teams interested in his services.
The odds that Stanton and Machado both land with the same team are less than one percent, IMO.

Huh? First trade makes no sense. Herrera is cheap with an obscene amount of control left and Cargo is nearing a new contract. A deal for Cargo is for a team that needs him to put them over the top not a rebuilding team like the Phillies.
Second trade. not even going to comment on that one. Tigers would want some young arms I would think.

In every trout deal I've seen, the comments are Quality over quantity, and that the Angles need pitching. This gives the angles 2 quality young MLB ready arms with High potential, a solid young pitching prospect, and an Allstar CF replacement for Trout. What more could you ask?
