Simple Angels/Yankees Trade
Cozart for Gray
Change of scenery for both players.
The Angels get a starter to hopefully stabilize their rotation in a much-needed way.
The Yankees get a SS to fill in for Didi while he is out and could give top notch defense to spell Andujar at 3B when needed and his bat might turn back around playing half of his games in Yankee Stadium. I see the Yankees wanting major league talent in return for Gray instead of prospects.

Take on Albert Pujols' contract, and maybe the Yankees can get a quality big league player for Sonny Gray.

Josh Hamilton for Alex Rodriguez
Why for LAA?
They actually save about $28 million over the next 3 years. They gamble that A-Rod has a little left in the tank and can stay somewhat heathy after the year off. 3B has been a black hole for a while for the Halos so why not roll the dice. At the very least they open up some payroll flexibility under the luxury tax.
Why for NYY?
They finally move on from A-Rod. Hamilton would fit in the vacant RF spot next to Ellsbury and Gardner. Hamilton's power numbers would spike back up playing half of his games in Yankee Stadium.
Who says no?
1.) The Angels say no. Hamilton has a chance to still get his career back on track, while A-Rod is one more needle away from getting a permanent ban from the league.
2.) Oh great your back. I thought we decided that you weren't the Ultimate GM months ago. Anyways this doesn't make any sense what so ever. Terrible for the Angels. A-Rod is really a DH and Pujols is heading in that direction so he will have no place. Hamilton could need a change of scenery and have a resurgence, but New York is not the place.
3.) How about R. Howard for Hamilton, Howard could dh and spell Pujols at first base, plus Hamilton could play left field for the Phillies.

Rest of Angels Offseason (~$15million under luxury tax currently):
Trade Iannetta/Jepsen to CHW for De Aza then flip De Aza to SEA for Paxton. (Saves ~$6million for LAA)
Sign Masahiro Tanaka 8yrs/160mil contract after $20mil posting fee
Sign Yorvit Torrealba minor league contract to backup Conger.
1.) Stop labeling yourself theUltimateGM, because none of the or posts you have made are good. De Aza is not worth Paxton. Tanaka is going to get over 100 mil, but not 160.
2.) Angels won't outbid the Yankees
3.) I got to agree. No way the Mariners send a good young pitching prospect anywhere for a guy that's got fourth OF written on his forehead.
4.) Paxton for de Aza? Surely you jest.
5.) I hope he does, and continue to call him Shirley!

2 Possible Trade Ideas:
Kendrick/Aybar/Cron/Sappington/Maronde for Tulowitzki
or
Frieri/Cowart for Kimbrel
Thoughts?
1.) Why not? Small market fans will enjoy laughing at a team soon paying $300 million per year in salary that can't reach the post-season.
2.) Braves would be stupid to trade Kimbrel
3.) Angels lack of a farm system will not get them either player.
4.) Neither of these trades make any sense at all

Yankees Give: Gardner/Gary Sanchez
Reds Get: Aybar/Gardner/Engel Beltre
Reds Give: Bailey
Rangers Get: Bailey
Rangers Give: Andrus/Engel Beltre
Angels Get: Andrus/Gary Sanchez

1.) No way would the Rangers give Andrus and Engel Beltre and only get Homer Bailey in return.
2.) This is a convoluted mess.
3.) What about just Andrus for Bailey?

The Angels say no easily. If the Angels even consider trading Simba it would be for a legit ace, and even some Angel fans wouldn't trade him for someone like Syndergaard.

That’s $87 million in additional payroll for the A’s just in 2019. I highly doubt the A’s spend that much and have a $140 million+ payroll when they’ve never surpassed $100 million.
Also Happ will get more than that, and those are generous numbers for Familia ($15 million set up man? )
I could see most of those deals happen, just not all of them.
