I'm a Cubs fan and you have to add Happ, Baez, or Schwarber. And I wouldn't do it cause I'd rather trade 2 of the above for Archer or do the trade during the offseason cause then we can sign a free agent hitter to replace one of the above.

I think its a fair deal value wise but something tells me that Theo is showing interest only to drive up the price for the brewers who have reportedly shown interest in both Darvish and Verlander.

Very unlikely to ever happen, but fair trade.
Angles need to blow up there roster or remain in mediocrity forever.
Cubs can build on an already ridiculous wealth of young talent by adding the best player in baseball.

Not even close to enough for any cost controlled pitcher in baseball. I think you've forgotten how much the price of pitching has risen in recent years. Cubs literally traded one of the better prospects in baseball and 2 more type 100 type prospects and a lesser bullpen/ 6th starter type for half a season of Arnoldo's Chapman.
The Mariners get a 23 year old 2 time all star SS for the best pitching prospect in baseball and some add ins i'd say that a good all around trade.
Love it my Pirates get Shark to be our ace with Burnett possibly retiring/ leaving via free agency and we only have to give up one of our top pitchers and the Polanco. plus we get to take a chance on a former top 50 prospect with 20-20 potential.
Both teams are getting long term assets, the Cubs are getting younger and the farm is getting stronger and the Cards are getting better they would upgrade Westbrook with Samardzija.
The Cubs and Cardinals seem to not care about trading with each other.
