ATL gets
Edwin Diaz

SEA gets
Ender Inciarte.

1.) 03 Oct 2016 13:59:59
Why would either team do this?

2.) 03 Oct 2016 22:08:00
I think Seattle would jump at the chance to bring in a legit CF and leadoff hitter.

3.) 03 Oct 2016 22:50:30
They have Martin.

4.) 04 Oct 2016 04:47:37
Martin's defensive may have been good but offensively he was below average. Inciarte's defense is good enough to not have a significant dip in center field. Maybe put in Martin to ATL and SEA also gets a RP like Ian Krol in return too>.

5.) 04 Oct 2016 14:08:50
Martin is okay, but not a leadoff hitter.

CUBS and SEA trade

Cubbies receive
Edwin Diaz
Steve Baron

SEA receives
Javier Baez
Alber Almora Jr.

cratergrater

1.) 21 Sep 2016 14:47:09
While it's not clear why Steve Baron would be identified in a deal like this, it's clear the foundation for a deal is there. The Mariners would clearly be the winner of the deal from the outset, however, that can be remedied if Baron is dropped (or still included as a mid/ upper 20's catcher is a throw in) and one or both of Fry/ Yarbrough are included. Without the additions, the Cubs would NOT give up on Baez and would make this deal unless they knew Fowler was coming back after the 2016 season is concluded.

2.) 22 Sep 2016 00:35:46
Maybe. I think it's plausible.

3.) 22 Sep 2016 02:52:04
So @GeronimoSon are you saying that this would be a fair deal if one of Fry or Yarbrough is included?

4.) 22 Sep 2016 05:03:06
This deal might work but I doubt the Cubs do this, maybe instead of Beaz and Almora Jr. They give up Solar and Underwood for Diaz and a low level prospect. Do I think this will happen? No since Diaz has the ability to help the Mariners for many years to come, and I doubt that they trade him after his break out season. But other than that the deal with my little changes makes sence and is fair. I just don't think that the Cubs should trade Beaz since he is having a great year and Zobrist isn't getting any younger and even though they have Happ in the minors Beaz is proven at the big league level. And Almora Jr. Is going to be their next CF after Fowler leaves and I doubt they re sign him again.

Dodgers get Edwin Diaz

Mariners get Jose De Leon.

1.) 06 Sep 2016 04:31:35
I don't think either team does this, Diaz has been very good and the Dodgers are high on De Leon.

What would it take for Seattle to pry away either Javy Baez or J-Hay from PIT? I feel like the biggest goal of SEA offesason should be to get a strong Utility man who could start everyday too.

cratergrater

1.) 28 Sep 2016 12:54:54
Well this start Beaz is not on PIT he is on the CHC and if they acquire either one they would most likely start at SS. It would take more to get Beas but it will still take a lot to get Harrison too. I think it would take sonething like Zinino and some pieces to get Harrison and it would take something like a top 10 prospect (and maybe something else too) to get Baez. Either way I doubt they get either so they should try and sign a guy like Descalso who can play all over the place.

2.) 28 Sep 2016 15:58:24
Baez would be much easier to take away because Chicago's starting infield is occupied. Even though Chicago dosen't have an immediate need even after this year, Seattle would have to provide a good piece to get him. Maybe a trade could be worked out with Edwin Diaz is the Cubs threw one or two more assets in?

3.) 28 Sep 2016 22:04:45
Beaz isn't going anywhere unless it is in a blockbuster trade. He has proven what he can do and could be most teams starting 2nd baseman or 3rd baseman or SS so if you are able to bring that talent off the bench you should keep it. I say they Cubs trade Solar this offseason for a guy like Alex Colome of the Rays. The Cubs need bullpen help and the Rays need outfield help and the Cubs have a surplus of outfielders even if Schwarber isn't ready to go on day one. And the Rays have plenty of pitching.

4.) 29 Sep 2016 14:44:09
There's not a chance Tampa, or anyone, trades anything of value for Jorge Soler.

5.) 29 Sep 2016 16:30:52
Solar is having a nice bounce back year. He has regained his value and can and should be used as a trade chip I do not think that the Cubs should trade Beaz or Schwarber or Contreres. They have proven to be too valuable to the team to trade away.

Royals should sell some of their players who will net a significant return that can contribute to the team either late this year or next year.

Royals get

Joe Ross
Reynaldo Lopez
Austin Voth

Nationals get

Wade Davis.

cratergrater

1.) 25 Jul 2016 20:50:51
Did you see what the Yankees got for Chapman? Davis still has team control and will bring even more in return.

2.) 25 Jul 2016 21:49:50
This would be a massive overpay for Davis.

3.) 25 Jul 2016 23:03:30
Joe Ross is a middle of the rotation guy who has already experienced great success in the Majors. Reynaldo Lopez could slot in behind Ross. And Voth could be a future reliever. Way to much IMO.

Remind me where Freddie will play? Because the last time I checked Rizzo is at 1B.

Not only his stardom on the field but arguably his off-field presence was even more magnificent. I remember the MIA broadcasters talking about how a young boy once asked Jose for his autograph and he said "Sure if I can have yours". Oh man he will be missed. RIP Jose.
