DODGERS: Ethier
ANGELS: CJ Cron + Hector Santiago
RED SOX: Edward Mujica
BLUE JAYS: Steve Tolleson + Chad Jenkins
1.) 09 Feb 2015 04:44:21
I'd rather keep Jenkins.
2.) 09 Feb 2015 05:55:33
Cron + Santiago for one of the worst contracts in baseball? No way.
3.) Mujica for Jenkins is pointless. You're basically having both teams extend mediocre relievers. And there's no way the angels give give up a decent young hitter and a useful pitcher for Ethier, who offers nothing.

ORIOLES: Matt Wieters
DIAMONDBACKS: Jake Lamb, Tuffy Gosewisch, David Peralta, Braden Shipley
**Trade would only be done if Orioles know they can't resign Wieters before his free agency in 2015
1.) 05 Feb 2015 03:38:09
Wieters will cost the Diamondbacks a premium prospect.
2.) And the D-backs want to keep Tuffy he is good as a back up so they should sub him out and add a prospect and the Orioles don't need lamb they have manny
3.) 05 Feb 2015 22:46:47
Wieters is going to play DH this year for Baltimore, so if they trade him they can move Machado to DH this year so they can keep him healthy obviously he would still play some games at third. And Davis' contract expires after this year so they could move lamb to first or have him DH next year
4.) 06 Feb 2015 05:51:24
Relax, Clark.
Wieters will be at catcher and Machado will be at 3rd base in 2015. As long as both are good to go, they will be in their rightful positions.
5.) So how do you know he going to dh this year? I'm pretty sure Davis will dh this year.
6.) Shipley lamb and peralta are all solid prospects @natedub
7.) 06 Feb 2015 23:50:59
I forget who said it but they said wieters will likely play DH because he had TJ surgery last year and don't want to take any chances on him re-injuring it this year. Obviously Machado is going to play third he can be the best defensive guy at the position I was just suggesting that so he can rest his knees

Trade ideas:
PHILLIES: Cole Hamels
CARDINALS: Peter Bourjos, Stephen Piscotty, Rob Kaminsky
ROCKIES: Charlie Blackmon
ORIOLES: Bud Norris, Tim Berry (LP pitching prospect)
MARLINS: Steve Cishek
BREWERS: Kodi Medeiros, Luis Sardinas
1.) The Cardinals can offer more than what you suggested for Hamels. I don't think the Marlins are trading Cishek and I don't think the Brewers are trading Sardinas who they just got.
2.) 27 Jan 2015 22:44:38
The Marlins trade doesn't make much sense. With Gordon and Hechavarria, the Marlins infield is pretty much set.
Colorado would want more for Blackmon.
Philly would want more for Hamels.
3.) I don't think the Cards have enough prime prospects to get Hamels. Piscotty is okay, but he's probably not more than an average regular.

Nats: Erick Fedde, Matthew Skole, Joe Ross
Rays: Ben Zobrist
Padres: Carlos Quentin
Orioles: Christian Walker (INF)
1.) 09 Jan 2015 05:30:46
Walker for Quentin is a terrible deal for Baltimore.
2.) More than a can of pork and beans for Quentin is a bad deal.
3.) 10 Jan 2015 04:21:55
The only trade options worse than Quentin at this point: Ethier and Howard.
4.) No I think Howard and Either would be slightly better options than Quinten.
5.) ^No. They are all equally crappy, but at least Quentin doesn't have a $50M+ price tag.
6.) ^For Eithier, I think a change of scenery is needed. A different voice could help him with hitting lefties. And a chance to play everyday instead of being platooned.

Angels Shopping CJ Wilson + Josh Hamilton
Angels: CJ Wilson (pay for 1/2 of contract)
Pirates: Tony Sanchez + Jody Mercer
Angels: Josh Hamilton (pay for 3/4 of contract)
Orioles: Wei Yin Chen + Jonathan Schoop
Angels get a young catcher to back up Ianetta, two good young infielders to replace Kendrick and aging Aybar, and a solid starting pitcher. Orioles fill an outfield spot and Pirates replace Volquez
1.) No way pirates give up mercer for Wilson
2.) 18 Dec 2014 04:29:44
Angels would need to eat a significant portion of Hamilton's contract for anyone to move him. He is owed $64M during the '16 and '17 seasons, which is stupid.
3.) Pirates don't need another starter. They are pretty much set their. I don't believe Baltimore would trade Chen and Schoop for the washed up Hamilton. Try low level prospects.
