NY Mets and Houston Astros trade:

NY Mets send:
1. deGrom
2. Reed
3. Bruce

Houston sends
1. Springer
2. Martes
3. Kyle Tucker
4. David Paulino

Good for Houston:
Gives them an ace (under control for a few more years), a nice bullpen piece and an OF / DH bat for a WS run

Good for Mets:
They get a stud CF and hitter in Springer, a good OF prospect and 2 Pitching prospects in / close to majors

U r a dilusional mets fan, I'm sorry but this never ever happens not even in MLB the show when u can control both the astros and the Mets. Springer is an MVP candidate and even if you took out all of the other players in this deal, it still doesn't happen, and then u add in three good young prospects, NO. A better deal would look like Degrom and Bruce for Martes and tucker and Pauline but that's still iffy.

Interesting trade. I do agree with the others but am wondering what the cost would be to aquire an ace type pitcher that is controllable. As we just saw with Quintana, it won't come cheap. Astros are an elite starter away from winning it all imo. Man that's a lethal lineup.

Astros need SP depth, badly. But it won't come at the cost of Springer PLUS their top three prospects. deGrom is good, but with that package, we're nearing Trout territory.
