Cards trade Wong, Flaherty, Hudson, Montero

Angels trade Andrelton Simmons

Carpenter, Simmons, DeJong, Goldy is pretty solid. Flaherty and Hudson would be tough to give up but there’s enough pitching in the organization and Simmons is under control for 2 more years and coming off a 6.2 WAR season

Angels could slide Cozart to SS and let Fletcher play 3B. A rotation of Heaney, Skaggs, Flaherty, Barria, Hudson would be cost controlled for many years with Canning, Suarez giving them solid depth.

The Angels say no easily. If the Angels even consider trading Simba it would be for a legit ace, and even some Angel fans wouldn't trade him for someone like Syndergaard.

I wouldn't trade Flaherty straight up for Simmons, let alone Flaherty and several other good players.

It's probably too much for Simmons, but he has come a LONG way since he earned his reputation as a glove only SS. He actually has a very good bat now.
