Trade I see making sense in the offseason
A's trade: Khris Davis
Giants trade: Andrew Suarez, Aramis Garcia, Austin Slater

I can't see the Athletics trading anyone to the Giants, let alone a cheap, controllable outfielder.

Totally see where you're coming from but Davis isn't going to help the A's compete any time soon. Davis is 29 I believe and not a whole lot of teams have a need for a power hitter with low average and Giants biggest holes are a power hitter and a left fielder Davis fills both.

The Giants also rank dead last in outfield defense. The last thing they need is to trade for a guy who ranks among the 5 worst defensive outfielders in baseball.

I kinda wanna look at some off-season trades so and I know some may seem unlikely.

Braves trade: Luiz Gohara, Joey Wentz, Austin Riley
Marlins trade: Dan Straily

O's trade: Britton
Dodgers trade: Yadier Alvarez, Yusniel Diaz, Gavin Lux

Padres trade: Brad Hand
Astros trade: JB Bukauskas, David Paulino, Jorge Alcala

O's trade: Manny Machado
Braves trade: Ozzie Albies, Mike Soroka, Ian Anderson, Travis Demeritte, Touki Toussaint

Explanations
First trade Marlins are likely going to trade Straily and Braves are looking for controllable starters I also feel the Braves will make the jump the contender status next year

Second trade: I believe O's will realize they can't compete and sell their 2 biggest pieces I believe the Astros will want to keep their top prospects and will settle, Dodgers get probably the best righty lefty duo in the majors.

Third trade: Like I said I believe the Astros will settle and the Padres will have to too, they still get a top 100 prospect along with 2 interesting arms.

Last trade: to sum up what I've said O's rebuild Braves contend Braves I think will have a great chance to bring machado back

Straily trade: not anywhere close to enough. Straily still has 3-4 years of control as a SP and is very good. It'll take a lot more to bring him to any team.

Britton trade: too much from the Dodgers' perspective. They won't trade their top farm guys for a luxury, which Britton is, thanks to Jansen.

Hand trade: not enough. Padres want to be blown away for him. This won't do it.

Machado: too much. Machado's value has tanked, while he'll still pull a strong trade, it won't be this much.

2.) 18 Aug 2017 03:00:27
Machado is a top 10 player.

3.) 18 Aug 2017 20:55:58
Right now? Not even close.
Next year? Perhaps.

But you don't buy stock at tomorrow's price. You buy it on today's. If Machado is traded, it'll be when he picks it up again.

Unlikely to see Britton traded but

O's trade: Britton
Dodgers trade: Alex Verdugo, Yusniel Diaz, Brock Stewart, Dennis Santana

OR
O's trade: Britton
Astros trade: Forrest Whitley, Yordan Alvarez, David Paulino, Daz Cameron

A trade for Britton will have to include one of each teams top 2 prospects since imo he's the best reliever

If that's the asking price, yeah, I think it's unlikely.

A's trade: Gray, Alonso
Yankees trade: Torres, Chance Adams, Justice Sheffield, Albert Abreu, Jake Cave

I used the basis for the Quintana trade since Gray and Quintana are compareable.

i think this is really fair

Lol, no way.

2.) 27 Jul 2017 01:02:45
Too much. If Frazier or Torres go (Gasp! but I thought they were untouchable), the rest of the package won't be quite the package you have up there.

3.) 27 Jul 2017 14:13:06
Yankees wouldn't trade Torres alone for those two.

Rumors have it Braves were interested in acquiring Q and we're considering offering Albies so they might have interest in another young controllable pitcher Sonny Gray.

A's trade: Gray
Braves trade: Albies, Touki Toussaint, Dustin Peterson

ThatOneGuy

1.) 17 Jul 2017 03:41:51
Very plausible.

2.) 17 Jul 2017 15:08:03
Plausible but the Braves would be smart to either stand pat or find a way to do the trade without Albies, he is their future along with Swanson, don't trade him unless it is for a top 15 player in the league.

Fully expect, the deal to be veto’d By commish, it was done before with A-Rod to Sox and feel MLB has learned from the NBA and super teams, add in the fact the Marlins are sending roughly 30-35 million for Castro and basically nothing, without Stanton the Marlins already low attendance will be much much lower not in the best interest of baseball. PLUS the new ownership group knew of Stanton’s deal and if they had a problem with it shouldn’t have bought the team.

Sony Gray will net a return similar to what the Sox got for Q. It will be slightly lighter imo but still at least a top 10-15 prospect will be a headliner.
