Obviously, the ARZ are going all in this year. GM Stewart has talked about adding a SS/ 2B w/ out giving up a draft pick. I feel like Wilmer Flores is the perfect for them. Young player with lots of potential. NYM would want RP, which ARZ doesn't have that's tradable.

This is where a 3rd team comes in. A team who has tradable bullpen pieces that can receive prospects. TEX has a talented bullpen.

My proposal:

Three team deal between TEX, ARZ, NYM

NYM gives up: Wilmer Flores
ARZ gives up: Braden Shipley, AA prospect
TEX gives up: Keone Kela

Wilmer Flores for Keone Kela, Braden Shipley for Wilmer Flores, Keone Kela for Braden Shipley

Why this works for each team

NYM: They traded for Neil Walker. They signed Cabrera expecting him to be the starting SS. Plus the mid season arrival of Tejada this season will make Flores the odd man out. Their astonishing rotation complimented by a good bullpen is very important. Keone Kela had a 95+ MPH fastball and a breaking ball scouts desribed as "extremely good".

ARZ: Their rotation is a log jam. Corbin, Greinke, and Miller are the first 3. Ray, Bradley, and De La Rosa are competing for the final two spots, leaving Bradley out of the picture

TEX: They are short on pitching. They are contenders and Shipley is expected to make a mid-season arrival. TEX would prefer Archie Bradley but ARZ will continue to say NO, forcing them to add the mid level prospect.

The alternate to this deal is ARZ gives up Bradley instead but receive Shawn Tolleson and Andrew Faulkner in return while NYM just gives up Flores.

This deal seems fair for all sides.

It is possible but as of now Flores will be the only backup at 1st base for Duda.
