If there are two things the Angels shouldn't do at the deadline, is 1 Deal Trout and 2 Deal Calhoun, both guys give the Angels hope once the injuries are done.

Angels Have no hope. Their 20GB. Richards/ Heany will end up having TJ and miss all of next year too. Their is not one starting pitcher on the market this summer that has their caliber. So were just going to have calhoun sit on this team all next year and by the time were ready to try to be a .500 team Calhoun will be 30. Richards will be 30. Angels need to commit to the rebuild. Look at what the cubs are doing.

Your hope is in two top outfielders, then a bunch of aging or injury-riddled pitchers and aging or injury-riddled position players.

Their payroll isn't in good shape and they have no farm system. I wouldn't say there's a bright future for the Angels right now.

I would trade Calhoun for a handful of prospects in a heartbeat. Rebuild for 2017-18 and call it a day.

^^Considering those guys will end up being out next year because they are waiting so long to get Tommy John surgery, you may need to have hope for 2018 at best.

Yeah. They need to face facts and do a total rebuild. Definitely trade Calhoun, and at least listen on Trout.

My idea for trading Calhoun:

Giants get: Kole Calhoun and Huston Street
Angels get: Christian Arroyo, Phil Bickford, Mac Williamson and Lucius Fox

My idea for trading Trout:

Mets get: Mike Trout
Angels get: Jacob deGrom, Amed Rosario, Michael Conforto, Curtis Granderson, Juan Lagares, Kevin Plawecki and Marcos Molina.
