Angles - Braves trade

Angles get: Jace Peterson

Braves get: Low level prospect

Why LAA: this gives LAA their 2nd baseman for this year. It won't cost much but then holds them over till next year when Forsythe is a FA and they should consider him their top target.

Why braves: They just signed Sean Rodregez and Albas will be their everyday starter at 2nd in a few years so Peterson is expendable.

What do you guys think?

Who are the Angles?

The Angels don't need Peterson. They already have scrubs and AAAA players such as Johnny G. This does nothing to help the team.

The Angels need to trade Trout for a king's ransom.

If they can get anyone else to bite on Pujols, that would be great too.

This doesn't look you even tried sull. It says I wanted the Angels to have Jace Peterson but didn't bother looking into a prospect for the braves.

Red Soxs guy, if you knew about the Angels, you would know that Johnny G doesn't play for them anymore, and no team could make a trade for Trout and still be able to put a team around him. I wouldn't be surprised if next offseason they start talking about another extension for Trout.

If I'm trout and the Angels want to offer me an extension I wouldn't consider it. You can argue that if they Angels made the playoffs every year for the past 5 years he'd be a 5 time MVP. The team as a whole has cost him 3 MVPs, I was shocked that he won MVP this year not because he was bad but because the Angels were one of the worst teams and there weren't any reasons other than trout to stay up to watch games.

Mambaout, remember Felix Hernandez when people were saying trade him, instead he got a major deal from Seattle, and because of that, he will probably go down as the greatest pitcher they ever had. If trout stays for his whole career, he will 100% percent be the greatest Angel of all time. When an organization invests in its best player, it shows that they are committed to winning with them. Also trading a player like Trout doesn't automatically mean you get amazing pieces back, Look at the Miguel Cabrera trade, none of those guys became stars and the center piece of that trade Cameron Maybin is currently slotted to play next to trade this season.

Trout will NOT be an Angel for his entire career. Take that to the bank.

They said that about Felix but look what happened, the Angels will keep players that are huge to the club, Salmon Weaver, Trout is arguably the biggest star they have ever produced, with Hamiltons contract done next season, and Alberts contract half way through, the Angels can make him the highest payed player ever a legend.

The Angels suck. They are terrible. They have the worst farm system in baseball, so it is only going to get worse. Trout will, at some point, want to play for a contender.

Trout is from Jersey. He will head east.

I would be willing to bet my house on it.

I stand corrected on Johnny G. Dude got most of the at-bats the last two years for the Angels at the second base position. That is an indictment as to the Angels' farm system and plans to contend, though. They have Trout; otherwise, the Angels are the worst organization in MLB.

Red Soxs guy, it's obvious your not a fan of the Angels and just want to hate, they are not the worst organization in baseball, the Farm system is bad yes but that doesn't mean it's the worst organization, everyone has it's ups and downs, let's look at your swept team Boston. Hanley Ramirez, Pablo Sandoval, David Price, all players who will screw that team way down the road. Every team goes through ups and downs through life, that's just the nature of the game. The Angels are moving in the right direction, they are learning from big money contracts, they have a new scouting department, they're getting more involved in the Latin market, and with the number 10 pick protected, they have a prospect who will help improve the system greatly.
