Royals trade Mike Moustakas, Chase Vallot Kyle Zimmer, Cory Tuops

Pirates trade Tyler Glasnow, Jameson Tallion

Here is what is so bad about it.

Glasnow and Taillon, possibly the future Pirates top two starters for one year of Moustaukas and prospects that aren't even in the top 100.

Do you really think Glasnow who is in the top 25, would be traded for players not in the top 100?

Now if this trade was for Hunter Dozier, who isn't in the top 100 but number 9 at 3B and one of Kelvin Herrera, Danny Duffy, maybe even Salvador Perez, and if the Pirates added Josh Bell, which would definitely not happen, it would work in my opinion. But that trade, the Pirates hang up laughing that the GM Even tells Glasnow and Taillon, and they laugh too.

The Pirates are giving up 2 young, MLB ready starters for a guy in his last year before free agency. And a guy at a position they have covered.

There is zero reason to do this.
