SD- Trevor Bauer
CLE- Luis Patino, Ryan Weathers & Josh Naylor

Bauer has a year and a half left on his contract. He is perfect for SD who can let him go if his price is too high after his contract. SD has a ton of arms in the minors who will be ready by 2020/2021. He also gives them a Bonafide Ace for a playoff push this year.


SD- Zach Wheeler
NYM- Cal Quantril

Wheeler gives SD a very solid #3 who is a FA at the end of the year. He is a place holder for Gore who will be up in 2020 and a he gives them a 3rd pitcher for a playoff series.

That is a ton that the Padres would be giving up to a guy that is due for his last arbitration year and a pay increase. You're getting rid of 2 of the best arms that they have coming up in 2020/ 2021 like you alluded to. Patino from what i've heard is close to off limits. Weathers and Naylor could be had though.

The wheeler deal would be perfect for them.
