Off Season blockbuster deal:

Cubs trade: Jeff Samardzija, Starlin Castro, James Russell, Darwin Barney and Nate Schierholtz

Cards trade: Oscar Taveras, Carlos Martinez, Kolten Wong, Michael Blazek, Eric Fornataro, Tim Cooney and CBA pick

Not going to happen. The Cardinals and Cubs may make minor/small trades with each other that aren't going to mean much, but they won't make a trade like this.

Both teams are getting long term assets, the Cubs are getting younger and the farm is getting stronger and the Cards are getting better they would upgrade Westbrook with Samardzija.
