With Atlanta's recent injuries to its pitching staff, here's something the Braves should consider doing.

Atlanta trades OF Jason Heyward, RHP David Hale and a minor leaguer to Tampa Bay for LHP David Price and OF David DeJesus.

Tampa has the pitching talent and depth with Moore, Archer, Cobb, Hellickson, Odorizzi and others to withstand the loss of Price, while and OF of Heyward, Jennings and Myers looks mighty fine.

Atlanta gets a tried and true ace to solidify the rotation, while DeJesus fills the gap in the Braves' OF.

Price isn't going to be traded now that the season is about to start and I just saw where Atlanta is done with its rotation.

Braves aren't that desparte.

Reliable sources have noted that Atlanta was done for the off season.

Even if they were looking to upgrade, this deal makes no sense for either side. Braves won't give up a player like Heyward who has the potential to impact the team for multiple years for a one year rental of Price. Rays are looking for prospects in return for Price and it's probable that they fielded offers earlier this offseason that would've netted them better value. Basically, if Price was going anywhere this off season, he would've been traded by now.

Braves aren't that desperate? We'll see, especially since Medlen is done for the year, Beachy is probably about to undergo TJ surgery again, and Minor will not be ready to start the season.

When you've got Freddy Garcia slotted for the rotation, you're probably on the edge of desperate.

Isn't Heyward a free agent after 2015? Yes, this makes sense.

Not going to happen
