What not believable, you're telling me the 4th richest owner in baseball couldn't afford signing these 4 players. A Pirate fan can dream right.

Trade 1B Ike Davis to the Marlins for LHP Justin Nicolino and RHP Austin Brice

Davis becomes available with Pedro Alvarez likely moving to first, the Marlins have already expressed interest.

Sign RHP Justin Masterson 1 year 6 million

Masterson is coming off a down season and will be looking for a 1 year deal to improve his value. While Searage has been given most of the credit for his work recently with Lirano and Volquez. I personally think a lot of the credit should've been given to Russell Martin.

Sign LHP Paul Maholm 1 year 5 million

Maholm started his career with the Pirates, he can be an innings eater at the back end of the rotation or a long reliever out of the bullpen.

I wish I could say I see more signings from the Pirates, but other than bringing Clint Barmes back for another useless season. I just can't see Nutting getting off his wallet to improve this team.

This is hilarious. You think the Pirates can sign both Scherzer and Lester. Both turned down bigger contracts from Detroit and Boston respectively. Both will go over 100 mil. Same for Hanley.
