3 trades and a few free agent signings for the tigers to help the team in 2016

TRADE 1 (DET - MIL - SEA)

- TIGERS GETS:
SP M. GARZA + '16 COMP. B PICK (4) (MIL)
SP T. PIKE + 1B M. TRUMBO (SEA)

- BREWERS GETS:
SP J. PAXTON + C M. ZUNINO (SEA)
SP M. BOYD + OF T. COLLINS (DET)

- MARINERS GETS:
1B V. MARTINEZ (DET)
C J. LUCROY (MIL)

TIGERS add a much needed starter that can be as high as the 2nd SP if needed if sanchez continues to struggle and if Norris ain't ready to be a #2 starter or #3 starter, also a draft pick that can be used to help their poor farm system and also a former top 5 mariners prospect in pike that can help even out of the bullpen next year and also Trumbo who can help in the power department and give miggy more time at DH since Trumbo is above .990 fielding % at 1B which can help

BREWERS add a young pitcher in Paxton to replace Garza in the rotation and also zunino who can be a great hitter but is a good defender already and a change of scenary can help him and also adding another young pitcher in boyd who can help in the rotation for the brewers as they are in rebuilding mode and also adding Collins who can be a starter alongside braun and davis since gomez is gone or even split time with Santana in CF and this trade has low cost high reward potential

MARINERS add 2 good bats to the lineup and with Martinez, a player who rarely has more strikeouts then walks and can help a young team and also adding lucroy who can be the starting catcher since the mariners could be growing old of zunino who hits under what they need but is a good defender

OF M. BOURN or C. MAYBIN (ATL)

- ATHLETICS GETS:
SP J. TEHERAN (ATL)
2B I. KINSLER (DET)

- BRAVES GETS:
SP B. FARMER + RP K. RYAN + IF J. MARTE (DET)
SP S. MANAEA + OF J. BRUGMAN (OAK)

TIGERS add another much needed bullpen pitcher who can be a good addition for the tigers and add another draft pick to help their horrible prospect ranking and add a 4th OF in whoever the braves would want to get rid of

ATHLETICS add a young pitcher who can be added to a strong young pitching staff with gray, griffin and parker and be the AL version of the METS with a strong young pitching staff and also add kinsler who can be the 2B with sogard and semien splitting time at SS and also reunite with ron Washington (whos OAK 3rd base coach)

BRAVES add young pitching with farmer whos from Georgia and can be a useful piece and be a good 5th SP and a change of scenery can help farmer and add a RP in ryan who doesn't throw fast but is a decent ground ball pitcher that can help out of the bullpen and also add marte who is a reliable piece to the braves bench and backup 2B/SS/3B and they also add manaea who was traded to the a's from the royals in the zobrist deal and brugman who is a decent hitting prospect

TIGERS add a closer that can shut down opponents and be something the tigers haven't had in a long time (reliable closer) and also adding holt who can play everywhere (played at least 100 innings at every position but catcher and pitcher) which is something the tigers need

PADRES add hardy who is a good RP which (other then Wilson) has been the tigers best RP and also rondon who is warming out his welcome in Detroit so being traded is the best thing for him (rondon and benoit can pitch well together) and moya who can replace upton in the OF and also adding Kelly who hasn't pitched well for the redsox but being from California, that could help him out and the fact he's only 27 and also adding boegaerts who can instantly be the SS

REDSOX add greene who just like Kelly was traded with high hopes but with a change of scenery, can help him out and also romine can be just like a holt for the redsox and also adding shields would be the reason for this whole trade for the redsox and since they need a true ACE for the team

sorry for a long post but I always wanted to write why I put trades up there, I know many would disagree, that's what this site is about, fans of the game putting up their own trade ideas and some people like or dislike what gets put on here but every trade I put up here and the free agent signings, makes sense to the tigers as they need pitching badly. Yeah I have to agree. There is no way the Sox trade bogey after the season he just had. And I'm hoping that we get a much better ace then Sheilds.

So what exactly is Boston getting for Bogaerts? Seems like nothing to me after the year he just had and what his potential is going forward. He would only be traded for a true young ace at this point. Horrible trade.

You can't trade draft picks is baseball. And even if you could, no way Detroit gets 2 top ones for those guys.

carl, you can trade picks that are compensatory draft picks is what I think its called. look it up and it should help to show what teams can trade a pick butbonce that pick is traded, it can't be traded again so its a one time thing

Every one of these trades are horrendous.

But I do find the fact that you think Matt Garza could be a #2 absolutely hilarious. The guy shouldn't even be a long-reliever, much less a starter.

Also, why the hell would the Brewers give up Lucroy for Zunino and a highly overrated lefty (Paxton)?

I don't even know if the Mariners could get Garza for Zunino.
