To Tor: Matt Kemp, Tyson Ross
To SD: Troy Tulowitzki, Dalton Pompey

THIS IS A BASE DEAL. I get that there is a possibility of lower level prospects evening it out, but value wise how is it?
Toronto gets an impact arm they direly need and get back a bad contract but gave one away as well, and seeing as kemp still has a good bat, he could definetly DH or play left and still get impact from him
San Diego gets an elite shortstop that they direly need and do so in losing a bad contract as well instead of just signing Desmond and keeping kemp. They also add a potential lead off hitter in a top 50 prospect and can move Myers to left field
I know this is unlikely but thoughts on value, reasoning etc?

Good trade but don't think it works for the Jays. They don't really need another outfielder and they need more speed/contact hitters. I don't really know a lot about Ross, but I'm pretty sure he's not an Ace and the Jays need an Ace type pitcher.

I like the thought of sending Tulo home to his native California. Plus, SD needs a CF, and Pompey fits the bill. Ross definitely helps Toronto's rotation.

However, I think the Jays need to get more their way. If you consider Pompey for Ross to be about equal - and I do- then the deal becomes Tulo for Kemp. To be honest, I dislike both guys, as they both seem fragile.

So, toss in a bullpen arm such as Brandon Maurer and a prospect, and maybe it could get done.
