I'm not getting to be a huge A's fan but they are not doing well and they just lost Sonny Gray to the DL. Here's what I think they should do if they are still well out of the playoff race come the deadline:

Trade #1:

Rays Get: Billy Butler

A's Get: Brent Honeywell, Mikie Mahtook, Jacob Faria

Trade #2

Diamondbacks Get: Coco Crisp

A's Get: Brandon Drury

Trade #3

Rangers Get: Ryan Madson

A's Get: Dillon Tate, Andrew Faulkner, Matt Bush

Trade #4

White Sox Get: Rich Hill

A's Get: Chris Beck, Spencer Adams, Luis Martinez, Matt Davidson.

Trade one is way to much for Butler. The third trade is not likely to happen because A) the A's and Rangers are in the same division and interdivision trades are rare, and B) its not a good trade. The last trade is awful.

Billy Butler has as much trade value as a flaming bag of dog turds, just so you know. Trade 2, coco crisp is not good, and the dbacks would not give up a future piece in drury for an injury prone, aging outfielder. Trade 3, how much value do you think Ryan Madson has? Good grief, these are all TERRIBLE.

Honestly i think that all these trades just favor the A's.

Yikes dude. You think WAY too highly of every one of those A's players.

Everyone of them is a massive overpay.

Given what you thought the Nationals should give up for Jon Gray, none of this surprises me, though.
