Guys, just about what I said, the Cubs are good enough, but if you are a basketball fan, you would know that 73 regular season wins isn't good enough. The Cubs have to be stacked for the playoffs, and Russell, Soler, and Torres won't help that cause to the degree that Fernandez and Ozuna would.

If you're a baseball fan though, you'd know that the value here is not even remotely close.

I know Fernandez is an ace, and young, but if I'm the Cubs management, I don't give up this package for him. Is it fair? Yes.

Not even close to happening. This is horrible.

Not even remotely close for the Cubs to land Fernandez and Osuna.

So do you remember in the offseason when teams were attempting to get the Marlins to trade Fernandez? They said each teams top 5 prospects to start and more. That pitiful offer you suggested wouldn't even get the Cubs in the conversation. Plus with Ozuna in the trade Bryant and Schwarber would have to be in this trade.

Batman. The Cubs would never do that Bryant is way too important to them. They already have an ace in Arrieta and Lester is great too. They need Bryant more than Fernandez.

Whether or not they do it is moot.

The price to acquire Fernandez is going to be very, very steep.

Exactly so that should tell you one thing this trade ain't happening.
