Rays and Dodgers have been talking about a Logan Forsythe trade according Morosi.

LAD trades 1B/ DH Cody Bellinger, SP Walker Buehler, RP Grant Dayton

TB trades 2B/ 3B Logan Forsythe, SP Dylan Floro.

Does Forsythe really have that much value?

He's a 4 WAR player, only 29, and signed cheaply (15.5 million) over the next 2 years. According to surplus value and the TPOP studies, he has roughly 48.5 million of surplus value. Bellinger (25-50 ranked hitter) is worth 38.5 million and Buehler (something the 100-150 range), is around 10 million. Dayton, a 29 year old relief pitcher, carries little value in terms of surplus value. So yeah, the math adds up.

This is dumb.

Buehler? Buehler?

So? Just because he has those stats does not warrant top prospects in a trade.

Forsythe isn't that bad.

Forsythe is pretty damn good. Any team would be lucky to have him on the roster.

Ok apparently I need to be even clearer, I don't see how he warrants top prospects in a trade. He is not a star. And the answer is no nothing about his career suggest he would be worth a top prospect let alone 2.

Yea Forsythe is a really good player. Great bat and solid defence.

So what you are saying is that every mediocre player is worth top prospects then?
