There are many trades ideas mentioned involving Quintana to the Pirates. Realistically speaking I highly doubt that the White Sox will ship Quintana unless Austin Meadows is involved. That being said, if the PIT acquire Quintana, it would mean they are contending, and as a result, PIT could also package a reliever such as Nate Jones.

Chicago acquires: Austin Meadows, Mitch Keller, Adam Frazier, Luis Escobar

Pirates receive: Jose Quintana, Nate Jones

Nate Jones fits right into PIT's bullpen and provides them with a potential closer/ setup man.

Makes some sense.

I think Pitt still deals Cutch.

I think that package gets you Q alone. But Nate Jones is the most valuable piece in the pen for Chicago. He's coming at a steeper price than Robertson, Putnam or jennings.

Quintana alone is worth way more than that in order to get him it'd take something like Glasnow OR Taillon, and Newman and Keller, add in Jones and you're adding 2-3 more of an organizations top 12 prospects.

Mamba- If you're saying Nate Jones is worth 2 of an organization's top 12 prospects, then why is Doolittle worth "WAY WAY WAY MORE" than that? That's almost exactly what I proposed.

If you look, Jones and Doolittle are nearly identical players in career IP, ERA, ERA+, strikeouts, and strikeouts/ 9. Both are under team control for 4 more seasons at reasonable salaries, with Jones' being the cheaper of the 2.

Meadows is not getting traded especially with Keller.

@BuccoFan21 - look at what Boston gave up to get Sale. You think BOS wanted to give up Moncada and Kopech? They gave up talent to get talent.
