Why would the Nationals re-work the contracts of all those players? It doesn't serve their best interest in the slightest.

I just want to point out on the Trea Turner and Tanner Roark contract details you have, you can't give signing bonuses in the middle of contracts. They only occur at the beginning of the contract when it is first signed.

These are structured like NFL deals, which are done to help around a salary cap.

It doesn’t matter when the signing bonus takes place. The luxury tax considers the AAV of a deal.
