If you don't think that's enough for Archer then you'd never trade him. Betances and Sheffield alone would probably be enough for him. You're talking about one of the better young relievers in the game and a top two to five prospect in one of the most loaded farm systems in the league. Depending on what lists you look at, the other two are also top fifteen in that same loaded system. The Rays would be silly NOT to take that, especially for Archer who has been extremely mediocre the last couple of years. And this is coming from a Red Sox fan.

That would be a comical overpay for Hamels.

If you think the Brewers would be this stupid, you haven't been paying attention. They have the smartest front office in baseball.
