Indians
Kluber- RHP (3 years left)

Cardinals
O’Neill- OF (23)
Hudson- RHP (24)
Arozarena- OF (23)
Carlson- OF (20)

Cardinals need a top of the rotation guy and the Indians need a few outfielders (O’Neill will help in the present) . Indians also get a pretty good pitching prospect in Hudson.

Indians
Kipnis- 2B (2 years left)
Mercado- OF (23)
Anderson- RP (3 years arb left)

Dodgers
Verdugo- OF (22)
Rios- 1B/ 3B (24)

This one is probably a little heavy on what the Dodgers are sending back but they get a veteran second baseman who I don’t think is quite done yet but needs a change of scenery, and a pretty good back end reliever. Indians get Rios who has nowhere to play in LA and is being blocked (could play OF in CLE) and Dodgers top prospect and a needed outfielder who they could call up immediately.

Why would the Dodgers trade Alex Verdugo (who they've pretty much treated as untouchable to this point) for a 2B, when there's about a half dozen, maybe a full dozen of options that are better and only cost money?

And Cody Anderson has pitched three innings at any level of baseball since his injury 2016. The Indians might not even tender him a contract.

It's not a good trade for LA in any sense.

The first one is probably close to fair for Kluber, but I think the Cardinals would need one better prospect in there somewhere.

Yah probably should’ve done more research on the LA trade because I didn’t know that about Anderson. Anyway, how would you change that trade?

Take out the following players and you have a decent trade: Verdugo, Rios, Kipnis, Anderson, Mercado.

If the Dodgers want an average-to-below-average 2B and a bad reliever, they could sign Josh Harrison and Blaine Boyer and keep their top 100 prospect.
